The most important thing to remember is that Parent Care Coaching is not about telling you what to do.
Much of coaching is about listening. In both my training as a Masters level Social Worker and as a Parent Care Coach, I'm trained to listen in a deep, empathetic way that will give you space to explore ideas, learn more about yourself, your parent care goals, and to understand the challenges in reaching these parent care goals. I do this by asking simple, curious, open-ended questions.
When you have more self-awareness, you are able to make decisions and choices that serve you and your parent better in the long run.
I will help you design effective actions that are stepping stones towards your parent care goals. I'll do this without slipping into “advice mode” , as I remind myself that you have the answers you need already, but I can help clear the way for you to find them.
